Andrews, Arnold Emery
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the age of 90. He was born in Kalamazoo on April 21, 1922, the son of the late Harold and Margaret Emery Andrews. He served with the United States Navy during World War II. He retired from Lockshore Farms after many years of service. Among his hobbies he enjoyed, fishing, bowling and gardening. He was married to Naomi Bird Andrews in 1947; she preceded him in death in 1989. He later married Mary Jane Elliot Andrews in 1990; she preceded him in death in 2004. Arnold is survived by three children, Harold Andrews of Battle Creek, Marcia Al Whipple of Portage and Marianne Mark Featherston of Cadillac; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Marjorie Brierly; one brother, Dale Andrews; and one sister, Marian Andrews Carr. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., where the memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Rev. James Dyke will officiate with interment to follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
