Kalamazoo Passed away Monday, January 14, 2008. She was born February 16, 1927 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Raymond A. and Margaret L. Blodgett Carr and had been a resident of Kalamazoo for several years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and had been employed as a CNA for several years. Arlene lived for her family. She enjoyed scrap booking and music, and was able to play the organ and piano by ear. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Vicki Traverse in 2002; and her sister, Beatrice Miller. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Robert Hamilton of Fenton, MI; 5 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 1:00 PM in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. with Pastor Greg Bishop officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 11:00 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American cancer Society. www.langelands.com 343-1508
