CRIPPEN, Arlene Grace
Of Kalamazoo, MI Went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 19, 2009. Arlene was born February 28, 1928, in Scotts, the daughter of Rudolph and Mabel Erickson Smith and has been a lifelong area resident. She had been employed with Westside Medical Center and later with First Federal Savings & Loan. Arlene is a charter member of the Berean Baptist Church. On December 4, 1948, she was united in marriage to Russell Edward Crippen who preceded her in death on October 31, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Gertrude Seymour and William Erickson and nephews, Matthew Chabitch, Dennis Ruimveld and Joey Dunn. Surviving are her children, Louise Crippen of Kalamazoo, Edde Dawn Crippen of Vicksburg and Terri Kenneth Garrett of Kalamazoo; 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marian Reed and Lucille Dunn; several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 AM Monday August 24 at West Oshtemo Cemetery with Pastors Will Davis and Dennis Goodrich officiating. Memorials in Arlene's memory may be directed to Berean Baptist Church.
