Antonia 'Toni' Rostami

of Portage, Michigan Antonia Toni Rostami, age 74, passed away on October 1, 2012, while traveling in Southampton, United Kingdom. Antonia was born December 3, 1937 in Mexico City, Mexico, and has been a Portage area resident since 1984. She had received her Master's degree in English and Spanish from UCLA; and had taught with the Kalamazoo Public School System and with Western Michigan University specializing teaching English to foreign students. She was united in marriage to Hojat Jeffrey Rostami for over 50 years. Surviving are her husband, Hojat Jeffrey Rostami of Portage; her son, Armand Rostami of California and her sister, Christina Haro. Antonia was preceded in death by her son, Darrell Rostami in 2000. In accordance with her family's wishes there will be no visitation or services. A private family burial will be held in Portage Central Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials in Antonia's memory be directed to Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes.
