ELZERMAN, Anthony G. "Tony"
Of Kalamazoo, Michigan
Formerly of St. Clair Shores, MI Anthony George Elzerman, beloved husband and uncle, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 26, 2010. He was born on March 1, 1915 in Detroit, Michigan to Sam and Anna Elzerman. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Aleda Landt Elzerman. He was preceded in death by brothers Albert, Sebastian Babe, Peter, and sisters Marie and Fay. He was also preceded in death by a son, Robin Anthony, born in 1939. He is survived by: half-sisters, Carolyn Cunningham and Frances Althouse; half-brother, Sam Elzerman; sister-in-law, Alice Zuiderveen and
many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Tony served in the US Army in World War II. He was employed by Vroom Trucking and delivered for A & P Food Store. He was a long time member of Lake Shore Presbyterian Church in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. He was active in the Detroit Lions Club. He was a loyal Detroit Tigers fan. In 2005, Tony and Aleda moved to Kalamazoo to be closer to relatives and lived in Hope Woods Apartments. Private interment in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
