WILKINS, Anne F. Gull Lake Went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday evening, February 8, 2007 with her loving family by her side. Anne was born October 9, 1916 in Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of Fred and Henrietta VanDyk VanDam and was a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident. Anne was a devout Christian and was a charter member of the Gull Lake Bible Church where she once served as Superintendent of the Sunday School Primary Department. She was a great cook and a baker extraordinaire. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a son Dennis Wilkins on August 6, 2003 and by 2 brothers, Lammert and Leonard VanDam; a half-sister and a half-brother; 3 step-sisters and 2 step-brothers. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Ora Wilkins to whom she was married on April 14, 1940. Also surviving are a daughter-in-law Mary Carol Wilkins of Gull Lake and 2 sons and their spouses, Larry and Barbara Wilkins of Canton, NC and James and Wendy Wilkins of Battle Creek; 6 grandchildren, Dennis C. and Danette Wilkins, Dean and Deanna Wilkins, David and Sally Wilkins, Chad and Lacey Wilkins, Amy and Hank Schmidt and Becky and Kevin Bryant; 7 great-grandchildren, Daniel, Dillon, Morgan, Joshua and Baylee Wilkins, Jess and Jonah Schmidt; half brothers and sisters, Annetta Pearson, Bill and Jim VanderMolen and Esther Miller; many nieces and nephews and her loving care givers, Denise Mazuk and Joyce Weiss. Services will be held at 11:00 Tuesday at the Gull Lake Bible Church, 1491 Midland Dr. at Gull Lake with the Rev. Gary Cantrell and the Rev. Paul Deal officiating. Interment will follow at Day Cemetery. Friends may meet the family today from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Memorial contributions in Anne?s memory may be made to the Gull Lake Bible Church or Borgess Visiting Nurse and Hospice.
