HUIS, Mrs. Anna M.
Schoolcraft Anna Huis passed away early Saturday morning, October 6, 2007, in Lawton. She was born September 7, 1918, in Kalamazoo MI, a daughter of Dick and Sadie Bogema and had been a life long resident of Portage. Anna was a member of First Reformed Church of Portage. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Raymond Huis in 1999, a daughter, Luanne Huis in 1975; a sister, Rena Gorsuch and her parents. Anna is survived by: three children, Sandra William Nederhoed of Mattawan, Richard Barbara Huis of Paw Paw and Connie John Volenski of Mattawan; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Darlene Bogema of Oshtemo and Robert Gwen Bogema of Galesburg; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 2:00 Tuesday afternoon at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave., with Pastor Michael Drew of First Reformed Church of Portage, officiating. Interment in Central Portage Cemetery will follow. Visitation will be held Monday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the funeral home.
