Ann Marie Terpstra

Ann Marie Terpstra of Southgate, Michigan, passed away at her parents’ home in Kalamazoo on December 1^st after a 6-year struggle with breast cancer.

Ann was born in Ann Arbor to Paul and Cheryl Terpstra of Grass Lake on September 29, 1977.

Ann attended Chelsea Public Schools, graduating Cum Laude in 1996. She excelled in basketball, earning SEC First Team honors and achieving All State First Team honors in 1995.

Ann continued her education at Adrian College, graduating with honors in Human Services in 2000. In basketball, she was first team in the MIAA for 3 years and MVP of Adrian College for 3 years. Later, she was inducted into the Adrian College Athletic Hall of Fame.

Ann enjoyed her family (especially her nephew, Alex), traveling, and her dogs (Sunny, in particular).

Surviving are Ann’s parents, Paul and Cheryl Terpstra, of Kalamazoo; brother, Michael; sister-in-law, Ritu; nephew, Alex, of Berkeley Heights, New Jersey; grandmother, Dorothy Yeo, of Galesburg; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
