Of Portage Ann passed away on May 5, 2012. The wife of William A. Steele, Ann graduated from Marshall College with a Bachelor's Degree in Science and a minor in Journalism and moved to Pittsburgh with her husband to start her career and family. After working in the advertising business for a few years, Ann and Bill started their family and she shifted her focus to raising her family and pursuing a love of the arts. She loved to write - drafting children's stories and cookbooks - and was an accomplished china painter, ceramic painter and jewelry designer. Ann was a loving mother with a wonderful sense of humor who set a strong example for her kids. She is survived by her three sons, a daughter and their spouses: Greg and Ann Steele, Mark and Jean Steele, Kim and Mike Bielski, Scott and Kerry Steele, 17 grandchildren and 23 Great grandchildren. She was loved and will be missed. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to Rose Arbor Hospice Residence.
