GILLETT, Allen F.
Kalamazoo Passed away suddenly on January 9, 2008. Allen was born August 30, 1947 in Kalamazoo, MI, the son of Kenneth and Letha Conklin Gillett-Evans, who preceded him in death. He is survived by brothers, Ben Jeree Gillett, Ken Cindy Gillett and Howard Elma Gillett; sister Nancy Gillett; step-sisters, Carol Knight, Linda Ewaschuk, step sister-in-law Betsy Evans; many, many nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews; great, great nieces and nephews. While working with MRC Industries, Allen was able to hone his skills at volunteering his time and services for Kalamazoo Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Ministry with Community and Loaves and Fishes. He was also named as the MRC Volunteer of the year for 2007. Allen loved doing yard work, gardening, volunteering in his spare time and many hot dog roasts with his family. Anything he did for others made him very happy. Allen will be missed by all. Visitation will be on Friday from 6-8 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Services will be held on Saturday at 3:00 o'clock at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1601 Nichols Rd. Private interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
