POTTER, Allan
of Lawton Passed away November 12, 2008 at Borgess Hospital after a sudden illness. Allan was born December 17, 1952 in Battle Creek, MI, the son of Carman and Audrey Tweed Potter and graduated from Battle Creek Lakeview High School in 1971. He was most recently employed as a computer programmer for Precision Aerospace in Grand Rapids. Allan was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling, cards and table tennis; he was very competitive and enjoyed spending time with his family and playing games. He was preceded in death by his father Carman Potter. On April 25, 1987, he was married to Dianne Woods, who survives. Also surviving are children, Renee Doug Jaquays of Portage, Brian Potter of Battle Creek, Rob Hardwick of Lawton, Brenda Potter and Heather Potter, both of Lawton; 2 grandchildren, Rowan Thawley and Devon Jaquays; his mother Audrey Potter of Battle Creek and a sister Cheryl Dave Capman of South Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10:00 o'clock Monday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. with Rev. Jim Dyke officiating. Interment in Maple Grove Cemetery in Mattawan. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Memorial contributions in Allan's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
