Parchment, MI Died Friday afternoon February 20, 2009. Alice was born April 12, 1932 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Herbert and Dorothy Tibbs Worden. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and attended First Free Will Baptist Church. Alice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Carl F. Surrency on May 20, 1998; and several siblings. She is survived by 8 children, Sandra Floyd Sleeman of Texas, Dorothy Gary McLeod of Plainwell, Patti Gary Gates of Kalamazoo, Becky Ron Tucker of Comstock, Barbara Manjunath Rao of Parchment, Sherri Chris Moore of Kalamazoo, Dawn William Sage of Parchment, and Billy Pam Holroyd of Portage; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters; a brother; special friend, Kevin McAfee of Parchment; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 1 o'clock Tuesday in East Cooper Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
