SKRIDULIS, Alice M.
of Kalamazoo, MI Passed away quietly in her sleep early Monday, September 28, 2009. Alice was born in Ludington, Michigan October 14, 1945 to the late John S. and Ella G. Skridulis. She was pre-deceased by her loving cats: Scruff, Sacha, Casper, Babe and Zoe. Surviving Alice are two brothers and two sisters; several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews; and a special cousin, Vivian Westphal. Alice was known as "Aunt Alice" to the Burkall family and enjoyed the many and often family celebrations laughing, eating too much and shopping 'til you drop'. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her godchild, Ronica, catching critters. She enjoyed many holidays with her sister, Ruth Ann, and her family too. Alice lived in Kalamazoo most of her adult life and loved it, she called it home. She struggled with many roadblocks in life but dealt with them with strength and conviction. She so appreciated the many friends who provided her with support, a phone call, a Saturday visit or just sharing. She knew that God put them in her life when she needed extra strength. Alice loved God more than anything and trusted that He would take her to be with Him in his own time. We are so happy she is at peace now, asleep in the arms of Jesus. Family will greet friends, Tuesday, October 6, 2009 from 10 - 11:00a.m., at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., just prior to 'A Service of Christian Burial' at 11:00a.m. Fr. Michael Howell will officiate. A Memorial Mass will be arranged at St. Augustine Cathedral, 542 W. Michigan Ave., Kalamazoo, at a later date. Please see
