SEBO, Alexander
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Alex passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Borgess Gardens. He was born March 18, 1921 in Battle Creek, the last of six children to the late Steve and Elizabeth Pinter Sebo. Alex was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. He was employed by the Kellogg Co. for 44 years until his retirement in 1985. On May 22, 1942, he was united in marriage to the former Katie Weever until her passing on November 18, 1996. On October 20, 2001, he was united in marriage to Santa "Sandy" Donato Sweitzer, who survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Dawn Sebo of Augusta; three step-children, Diane John Goodacre of Kalamazoo, William Laurie Sweitzer of Kalamazoo and Donald Tracy Norton Sweitzer of Shelby Township; grandson, James Jamie Ehnis Fry and several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his parents, two brothers, Steve Sebo Jr. and John Sebo; and three sisters, Betty Cerva, Marguerite Liva and Anne Sebo. Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 PM on Tuesday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, with a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home with The Rev. Dr. Seth Weeldreyer officiating. Private interment with military honors will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to American Heart Association or Alzheimer's Associations.
