GUNNETT Leetz, Aleen
Of Mattawan formerly of Kalamazoo Aleen Leetz Gunnett was born August 30, 1914, in Almena Township, the daughter of William and Kathryn Gawron Leetz, and joined her Lord Jesus Christ, on June 19, 2010. She was a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life and had been an elementary teacher with Kalamazoo Public Schools for 27 years. On June 23, 1936, she was united in marriage to Jay L. Gunnett who preceded her in death on April 5, 1982. Also preceding her in death were her parents and her siblings, Gertrude Leetz Preston, Sylvia Leetz Horn, Marguerite Leetz Revore, Edward Leetz and Betty Leetz. Surviving are her siblings, Lewis Leetz, Ann Leetz Gulch and Norman Leetz; several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held 10:00 AM Friday, June 25th at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park with Pastor Joan Hart officiating. Memorials in Aleen's memory may be directed to Hart to Heart Ministries or a charity of your choice.
