Formerly of Detroit Aleda Elzerman went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 13, 2011. She was born on May 21, 1918, to Eye and Anna Landt, celery farmers in Comstock, MI. In 1948, she married Anthony "Tony" Elzerman, who preceded her in death in 2010. Aleda was also preceeded in death by a brother, Peter Landt, and sisters, Betty VanDyk, Jennie Meyer, Alice Zuiderveen and Marie VanderRoest. She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Living most of her life in Detroit, she was active at Lake Shore Presbyterian Church of St. Clair Shores, running the "Clothes Closet" fundraiser. She and Tony moved 7 years ago to Kalamazoo's Hope Woods to be closer to her sister, Alice Zuiderveen, and to enjoy frequent visits from family. Private interment in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Memorials should be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or to Northern Heights Christian Reformed Church.
