Aldridge L. Alexander

ALEXANDER, Aldridge L. ?Al? of Kalamazoo Passed away September 16, 2007 at his home. Al was born June 3, 1933 in Savannah, TN, to the late William and Elva Rinks Alexander. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean war, from May of 1951until honorably discharged in May of 1954. On July 12, 1979 Al was united in marriage to Anne Harris in Clintwood, Virginia. Anne survives. He was a much loved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Surviving Al are; children, Stephen Laraine Alexander of Otsego, Phillip Char Alexander of Kalamazoo, Lori Larry Edgerly of Paw Paw, Lisa ?Lepley? Brown of Paw Paw and Linda Joe Abercrombie of Madison, GA; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Floyd Alexander, Paul Georgia Alexander; sister, Ann Larry Walters; many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were, his brother, J.R. Alexander and dear cousin and best friend, Verden Wilkins. No visitation is scheduled. A private, celebration of life ceremony will take place at Ft. Custer National cemetery on Thursday, September 20th at 1:00PM. Arrangements are by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the American Heart Association or the Kalamazoo Humane Society.
