Portage Passed away Sunday, October 21, 2007. She was born December 21, 1921 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Homer and Emma Rioux Metzler and had been a lifelong resident of Michigan. While in Kalamazoo, she was employed at the Kalamazoo Regional Psychiatric Hospital for over 11 years. Agnes is survived by her husband, Doyle L. Short of Portage; her daughter, Sandra Clarence Rook of Kalamazoo; her grandchildren, Robert Laurie Bessler of Kalamazoo, Michael Cristina Bessler of WA and Joseph Lisa Kleeman of Germfask, MI; 6 great grandchildren, Lacey and Amanda Bessler, Jacey and Jodi Kleeman, Crystal and Andrea Bessler; and a great great grandson, Jordan Bessler.
