TOLIS, Mrs. Agita Dinora
Of Kalamazoo Passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2008 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Agita was born July 29, 1915 in Riga, Latvia, the daughter of Peters and Clara Ozlins-Ozlif Krimuldens and has been a Kalamazoo resident since 1951. She attended cosmetology school, becoming a beautician and had operated "Agita's Beauty Salon" for over 20 years in downtown Kalamazoo. Agita was a member of the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran United Church of Kalamazoo. On November 24, 1933, she was united in marriage to Karlis Tolis who preceded her in death on July 20, 2002. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Martins and Ziedonis Tolis. Surviving are her children, Ojars Sharon Tolis and Dinora David Kuzee; daughters-in-law, Carol David Bucklin and Babs John Schmidt; grandchildren, Michaell, David, Christine, Annette, Anna, Robert, Karrie and Laurie; and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friend on Monday from 12:00-1:00 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel; 3962 South 9th Street where a Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM with Pastor Ilze Goforth officiating. Following services interment will be held in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Agita's memory may be directed to the Christian Rest Home Association, or Hospice of Greater Grand Rapids envelopes available at the funeral home. 343-1508 www.langelands.com
