Kalamazoo, MI Passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013. Age 88. She was born in Sheldon, Iowa on February 16, 1925, the daughter of the late Paul DenBoer and Nella VanDyke. She retired from Alfred Connabel Office Inc. in 1987. She was a former member of Third Reformed Church and currently belonged to Second Christian Reformed Church. Adrianna was proud to be a homemaker, seamstress and baker. She was married to Harold J. Viel on June 26, 1947; he preceded her in death on December 16, 1993. She is survived by her son and daughter, Donald Jay Suzanne Viel of Kalamazoo and Nancy Lynn Donald Simmons of Richland; three grandchildren, Daniel Julie Simmons of Kalamazoo, Jeffrey Sherri Simmons of Richland and Jason Carrie Viel of Iowa; seven great-grandchildren, Kyle, Sara, Dayton, Austin and Reed Simmons and Connor and Cody Viel; sisters, Rena DenHamer and Wilma Timmons; and her sister-in-law, Jo Viel. She was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters, John DenBoer, Lorraine DeBoer, Louise Timmons and Pauline Nap. Private family interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., where friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Rev. Dr. Warren E. Lammers will officiate. Memorials may be given to the Kalamazoo Christian Schools Association.
