CLEMENT, Mr. Adrian J.
Kalamazoo, MI Died Tuesday evening May 10, 2011. Adrian was born October 10, 1917 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Adrian and Alice Clement. During WWII, he served with the U.S. Army. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with the Upjohn Company for 28 years, retiring in 1982. Adrian was also a member of the Westwood Christian Reformed Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers; and 4 sisters. On June 23, 1950, he was united in marriage to Carol M. Humphrey Clement who survives. Also surviving, 2 children, Debra Gary Start and Kevin Clement all of Kalamazoo; 2 grandsons, Chad Kim Start and Jason Sheryl Start; 2 great-grandchildren, Tyler and Ava; a special nephew, Kenneth Warren of Portage and several other nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 12:00 Monday at the Westwood Christian Reformed Church, 620 Northampton Rd. Friends may meet the family from 10-12:00 at the church. Private burial will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery with full military honors. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or the Westwood Christian Reformed Church.
