Aaron James Vandenberg Wheeler

Aaron James Vandenberg Wheeler, age 28, died unexpectedly on November 12, 2024. He was born January 26, 1996, in Kalamazoo to Lynette Whitman and Mark Weinberg.

Aaron was a special kind of person. Aaron was born with several birth defects and challenges. He was socially awkward. That being said, he was kind and would give you the shirt off his back. In his teenage years, he volunteered with homeless shelters and worked at Lynette’s Limo, a job he loved to do. He learned so many things and excelled at his position. Aaron moved on to roofing with his uncle and other retail jobs. His passion was tinkering with small engines or electronics. Aaron loved his family very much. There just wasn’t enough time for him to come back to us. Life is too short—love them until they love themselves.

Aaron was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Theodore J. Boehm; great-grandfather, John Millar; grandmother, Sheila Millar; grandfather, Theodore G. Boehm; grandfather, Dale Arden Weinberg; brother, Alan-Michael Boehm; sister, Novalee Knobloch; and cousin, Nathaniel Boehm.

He is survived by his parents, Mark (Kelly) Weinberg and Lynette Knobloch; children, Justin Simpson, Serenity Wheeler, Aterya Wheeler, Naruto Wheeler, and Joshua Wheeler; grandfather, Harold Armstrong; grandmother, Patricia Weinberg; siblings, Krysti Leigh Boehn, Alex Thornton, Chris Thornton, Samantha Coggins, Jadzia Weinberg, Kira-Marie (Jourdan Hodges) Knobloch, and several adopted and foster siblings; 20 aunts and uncles; cousin, Starr Boehm and many more; nieces, Annabel Coggins and Lily Ann Johnson, as well as many more nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Aaron’s life will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 4-8:00pm at Time Out Lounge, 400 E Michigan Ave, Galesburg, MI 49053, with a service and time for sharing at 5:00pm.
