of Kalamazoo, MI Went to be with The Lord, Tuesday, November 25, 2008. He was born December 19, 1983 in Kalamazoo. After graduating from Gull Lake high school in 2002, Aaron joined the U.S. Army where he served in "Operation Iraqi Freedom" from 2003-2004. A war hero, Aaron was attached to the 4th Infantry Division, 299th Engineering Battalion, Alpha Company, and directly involved in the capture of Saddam Hussein in 2003. He was known to be a car-hobbyist and he loved to go 4-wheeling. Surviving Aaron are his parents, Wendy Dan Griffioen and Dirk Shelly Van Belle; brothers, Jordan and Colin VanBelle; sister, Elissa Van Belle; grandparents Robert Marilyn Willis and Paul Arlene Van Belle. Family will greet friends on Sunday from 5-8:00 o'clock at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. A memorial service will take place on Monday, 11:00 o'clock at Radiant Church, 8157 East D E Ave., Richland, with a luncheon to follow at the church.
