Aaron Matthew Fender

Aaron Matthew Fender, age 51, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022. He was born on May 27, 1971, in Kalamazoo, MI to Ronald and Mary (Peters) Fender. Aaron was a career truck driver and most recently had been proudly employed with FedEx Freight for many years. He won many safety and safe driving awards including a 7 Year Safe Driving Trucking award from FedEx Freight. He married Lisa Johnson at First United Methodist Church of Kalamazoo on April 11, 2008. Aaron was a man of tradition and family values. He enjoyed golfing, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, camping and working in his yard.  He enjoyed watching Michigan Wolverines football.  Every day he talked often and fondly of the customers on his route and all of his coworkers at the terminal.

Aaron is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Fender; children, Matthew, Ethan and Lauren Fender; father, Ronald Fender; brother, Tim (Amanda) Fender; nephew Sevric Aaron Fender; uncles, Russ and Cliff Fender; and aunt, Karen Smith. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Fender.

The specifics of a memorial service will be announced at a later date. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Great Lakes Burn Camp, in memory of Aaron.
