TITUS, Wayne E.
Of Kalamazoo Wayne passed away Thursday evening, September 16, 2010 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. He was born November 24, 1923 in Decatur, IL, the son of Joseph and Verta Shroll Titus. Wayne was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II. On April 26, 1947, Wayne was united in marriage to Dorothy L. Overway. He was employed by The Upjohn Co. for 42 years until his retirement. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl Titus of Kalamazoo and Dyan Titus of Tamarac, FL; two brothers-in-law, Gene Overway of Carlsbad, CA and August Mary Overway of Holland, MI; one sister-in-law, Patricia Tom Hoewisch of Cedar Hill, TX; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Titus on August 1, 2010; his parents and one sister, Betty Puchalski. Funeral services for Wayne will be at 11:00 AM on Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, 2122 Bronson Blvd., with Pastor Larry Brelje officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family from 5-7 PM on Sunday today at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street and from 10:00 AM until the time of services on Monday at the church.
