or Portage, Michigan Wayne Dee Howser passed away peacefully at home in Portage, MI on September 10, 2013. Wayne was born November 4, 1925 in Mayview, IL to Russell Leo Howser and Hazel Greenwood Howser. He was a graduate of Urbana High School and the University of Illinois. A longtime resident of Portage, he was retired from the Upjohn Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Lyle Howser. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marion Osmanson Howser of the home, daughter Pamela Howser Wolak Francis of Hendersonville, NC, son Russell Howser of Phoenix, AZ, daughter-in-law Stella Chivikas of Portage, granddaughter Colleen Wolak of Reston, VA, grandson Patrick Wolak Amber of Concord, CA, grandson Ryan Howser of Portage, and great-granddaughter Skylar Wolak of Concord, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wayne's name, to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements are being handled by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Ave. There will be no services.
