Ginny passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 23, 2018 at New Friends Memory Care in Kalamazoo. She was born on February 1, 1931 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Frank and Elsie (Ott) Dines. Ginny was employed by The Allen Group as an executive assistant for 39 years until her retirement. On November 3, 1984, she was united in marriage to Frederick S. Cooper, who preceded her in death on August 25, 1995. Surviving are her sister: Jacqueline (Robert) Baxter of Kalamazoo; brother: James (Marlene) Dines of Otsego; several nieces and nephews; three step-children: John (Ann) Cooper, Scott (Sue) Cooper and Meredith (Ralph) Reddick; and five step-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents and brother: Frank Dines. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends may visit with Ginny's family from 2-4 PM on Sunday, Jan. 28, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or New Friends Memory Care.
