Teddy J. Garrett

July 30, 1938 — November 18, 2016

Passed away Friday, November 18, 2016 at the age of 78. He was born July 30, 1938 in Crawford, TN to the late Manson and Bertha (Wright) Garrett. He was united in marriage to Gloria LaDuke on November 21, 1972. Teddy served in the U.S. Army from December of 1961 until honorably discharged in November of 1963. Teddy is survived by his wife, Gloria Garrett; children, Trina (Brian) Smith, Laurie (Todd) Peterson and Matthew (Valerie) Garrett; and 8 grandchildren. Preceded in death by 6 brothers and 2 sisters. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 26th, 12:00pm at Orangeville Baptist Church, 6921 Marsh Rd., Plainwell. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Teddy's name may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, Hospice Care of SW Michigan or to God's Littlest Angels in Haiti.
