Passed away Sunday afternoon, February 28, 2016. Teddy was born February 17, 1941 in Kalamazoo the son of Ted and Jennie (Tinklenberg) Boven. Prior to his retirement he worked for over 30 years with Broekema Construction. Teddy was an outdoorsman, and enjoyed playing golf, camping, and traveling. In October of 1978 he was united in marriage to the former Patricia Peterson who preceded him in death on March 31, 2010. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Harriet Wilkins. He is survived by his children, Mike (Lisa) Boven, Cristine (Roger) Rosenthal, Martin Boven; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; a brother, Nelson Boven; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Services will be held at 11:00am Friday, March 4 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Comstock. Friends may meet the family Friday from 10-11:00 prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
