PAUL, Sylvester J.
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Died February 3, 2014 at age 96. Sylvester was born January 13, 1918 in Algoma, WI to the late Frank and Minnie Linsted Paul. He was united in marriage to Muriel Versaw in 1967 for a loving 45 years together. Muriel preceded him in death in 2012. Sylvester was proud to have served in the U.S. Army during WWII from June of 1941 until honorably discharged in December of 1945. He obtained the rank of SSgt. Sylvester is survived by his children, Michael Ball, Patricia Cook, Thomas Ball and Kevin Ball; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Norman Rita Paul; and niece, Marion Paul. He was also preceded in death by a son, Anthony Paul. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 7, 2014, 1:00pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with celebrant MSgr. Michael Hazard. Sylvester will be interred at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Arrangements by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S.
