BROSCHAY, Sharon K.
of Kalamazoo Sharon went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 9, 2013. She was born August 19, 1947 in Greenville, MI, the daughter of the late Rev. Richard and Thelma Palmer Struthers. Sharon was an active member of Westwood Church of God. She sang in the choir, taught pre-school children in Sunday School as well as taught children in the Wednesday night Bible Mountaineer Program. Sharon would assist in helping serve, set up or clean up for funeral luncheons and wedding receptions. Sharon enjoyed making crafts, sewing and knitting. She made several Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for her nieces, nephews or friends' children or grandchildren. Sharon loved children as well as cats and dogs. She loved being with her friends, especially enjoyed going out to eat with them. Sharon attended the Monday night Bible Study Fellowship BSF for about three years. Surviving are: her mother in-law, Frances Federico; aunt, Shirley Palmer; nephew, Brian Burnett; niece, Kelli Burnett; and several other aunts, uncles and cousins. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Broschay; and sister, Carol Burnett. A memorial service for Sharon will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 19, at Westwood Church of God 811 Gorham Lane with a luncheon immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall. Arrangements are by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. A private interment will take place at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park North at a future date. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Westwood Church of God, designated for the parking lot repair fund or a charity of your choice.
