ROHM, Sandra L.
Richland, MI Sandy, age 74, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, December 20, 2013, surrounded by her family, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. She was born September 12, 1939 in Grand Rapids, MI. A lifelong lover of sunshine and water, Sandy spent her winters in Fort Myers Beach, FL., and her summers at her home on Gull Lake. Sandy was like a ray of sunshine to everyone who knew and loved her. Sandy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a retired Registered Nurse, a member of Second Reformed Church of Kalamazoo and a member of the Gull Lake Country Club. She enjoyed sewing, swimming, traveling, golf, gardening and entertaining friends and family. Sandy was preceded in death by her first husband, C. Dexter Rohm, Jr., in 1997; her mother, Doris Van Sweden in 2005, and her father, Bill Van Sweden in 1974. Surviving are her husband, Ado Floreani; a daughter, Kim and son-in-law, Tom Dammer of Galesburg; a son, Bill and daughter-in-law, Amy of Brecksville, Ohio; a brother, Rick Van Sweden Ruth of Grand Rapids, MI; a sister-in-law, Judy Rohm of Mason, MI; four grandchildren, Emily and Ross Dammer and Anna and Ashley Rohm; numerous nieces and nephews; and Sandy's beloved dog, Elsie. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Second Reformed Church, 2323 Stadium Drive. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Second Reformed Church, the Sherman Lake YMCA Summer Camps or the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra.
