Ronald Stolk, 72, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019. He was born September 6, 1946 in Kalamazoo to the late Peter and Arlene (Wright) Stolk. Ron was united in marriage to Margie Harter on November 11, 2006. Ronald served in the U.S. Army from October of 1966 until honorably discharged in October of 1968.
Ron had many passions, including Kal-Haven Trail, Gobles Snowmobile Club, Loaves & Fishes, Gospel Mission, Forgotten Man Ministries, VFW, Kalamazoo River Valley Trail, Hope Reformed Church, fostering rescue cats, cars, trains, and his faith in God.
Ron enjoyed camping, fishing, playing euchre, dancing, going to Borgess Health & Fitness Center, his annual fishing trip, and the annual canoe trip. Most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends.
Ron is survived by his wife, Margie Stolk; children, Shayne (Sarah) Stolk; step-son, Christopher Bradley; granddaughters Chelsea Stolk and Emily Stolk; sister, Cindy (Doug) Wesler; step-mother, Dorothy Stolk; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Schipper. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, June 19th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S. 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49007. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 20th at 11:00 am at Hope Reformed Church, 910 Jenks Blvd, Kalamazoo, MI 49006. A private interment will take place at a later date at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. Memorial donations may be directed to Kalamazoo Gospel Mission or to Forgotten Man Ministries, www.forgottenman.org.
