PRICE, Ronald Lee
Of Kalamazoo Ron passed away early Tuesday morning, July 13, 2010 at his home with his wife by his side. He was born December 6, 1955 in Kalamazoo, the son of Robert and Marilyn Longjohn Price. A 1974 graduate of Parchment High School, Ron was employed by Allied Paper Co. for many years, until their closing. He has since been employed as a truck driver for Kalamazoo Metal Recyclers for the past 14 years. On June 5, 2004, Ron was united in marriage to Dotti Becker. He was a devoted family man and a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. Ron enjoyed line dancing at the Bresa Del Rio; and loved to take his wife fishing. Surviving are his wife, Dotti Price; two children, Desiree Bill Solomon and Chris Machelle Price; three step-sons, Joey, Joshua Krystle, and James Ballay; six grandchildren, JJ, Joshua Jr., Alicia, William, Chloe, and Jordyne; two step-grandsons, Kris and Ryean; father, Robert Price; four siblings, Judy Glen Pretzer of Parchment, Gary Price, Mike Price, and Rob Chris Price; and numerous, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceding him in death on July 8, 2010 was his mother, Marilyn Price. Funeral services for Ron will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at Northbridge Church, 8824 Douglas Avenue, with Pastor Ray Brandon officiating. Interment will follow in East Cooper Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 PM on Thursday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. Memorial contributions may be directed to American Cancer Society, West Michigan Cancer Center, or Borgess Visiting Nurse and Hospice Services.
