Portage, MI Passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence at the age of 76. Ronald was born in Kalamazoo on February 8, 1938, the son of the late Richard and Helen Belknap Harness. He retired from Consumers Energy. He was a member of the Goldwing Road Riders Association, the Goldwing Touring Association, the Sundowners 4 X 4 Club and the Masonic Temple. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Pame Harness; four children, Christopher Sandy Thorne Harness, Douglas Amy Harness, Lorri Dave Wilson Harness and James Carlton; one sister, Gloria Charles Chase; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with the family from 6 - 8 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Avenue, Portage, MI 49002. A committal service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December, 16, 2014 at the chapel in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. James Dyke. Memorial contributions may be made to Rose Arbor Hospice Residence or the Alzheimer's Association.
