Ronald Lee Fisher

Ronald L. Fisher, age 68 of Portage, died on February 26, 2022. He was born on July 9, 1953, in Kalamazoo, the son of Vance and Delores "Jean" (Markus) Fisher. Ron was a 1972 graduate of Otsego High School. He worked at several businesses during his working career including Illinois Envelope, Checker Motors, Liner Health, and he retired from Pfizer. As a teenager, Ron was introduced by his mother to her best friend's daughter, Dawn Swander. She filled his lifetime with love and happiness and they were married on September 19, 1975. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He had a wild and free spirit and sought out a fun time wherever he went. He cherished his wife, children and grandchildren and loved them with every bit of his heart. They include his wife, Dawn Fisher; his children: Nickole (Tim) Johnson and Eric (Stephanie) Fisher; his grandkids: Rylee Johnson, Mckenna Johnson, and Sloan Fisher; several nieces and nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vance & Jean Fisher and his brother Rodney Fisher.
