Passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at the age of 78. He was born January 29, 1938 in Kalamazoo to the late Charles E. and Arimethea (Mills) Chapman. He was united in marriage to Ellen Wiley on May 18, 1957, who survives. He retired from Green Bay Packaging, Kalamazoo, MI, after 27 years and 9 months of service. Ronald is survived by his wife, Ellen Chapman; children, Karen (Ken) Reiter, Ronnie M. (Annie) Chapman and David W. Chapman; grandchildren, Sarah (Keith) Joerin and Courtney Chapman; great grandchildren, Alexandria Joerin and Coralee Joerin; 1 sister; Aunt Marilyn; and several cousins. Ronald was preceded in death by son Michael A. Chapman; and brother C. Marlyn Chapman. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, March 15th from 10-11:00am at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., where a funeral service will begin at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery, Alamo Township. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ronald's name may be directed to Rose Arbor Hospice or to a charity of one's choice.
