Bob passed away on Tuesday afternoon, December 22, 2015 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. He was born on August 29, 1935 in Belleville, IL, the son of Harold and Mary (Trolard) Rankin. Bob was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict. Preceding him in death was his first wife of 29 years, Patsy M. Rankin. Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Sandra J. Rankin of Allegan; 6 children, Larry (Mini) Cameron of Smithfield, VA, Matthew Cameron of Kalamazoo, Barbara Hartless of Kalamazoo, David (Tammara Johnson) Cameron of Kalamazoo, Barry (Jo) Cameron of Alhambra, CA and Lisa (Eric) Johnson of Nixa, MO; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, John Rodgers, Douglas Rodgers and Leonard Rotermund; sister, Dolores Tabor; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, Dec. 29, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 631 Grand Street, Allegan. There will be no visitation. Inurnment will be in Comstock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Kairos Dwelling for the Terminally Ill.
