FRENTHEWAY, Robert M.
of Portage Bob passed away early Saturday morning, January 14, 2011 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. He was born April 9, 1924 in Kalamazoo, the son of the late Abram and Ethel Worrall Frentheway. Bob was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. On August 31, 1946, he was united in marriage to Ardith Fritch. Bob was a member of Milwood United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Ardith Frentheway; their three children, James Aida Frentheway of Dawsonville, GA, Judith Edward Huth of Portage and Jon Amy Frentheway of Hampstead, MD; eight grandchildren, one brother, Roger Denise Frentheway of Waterford and one sister-in-law, Janice Fritch of Imlay City. Graveside services with military honors for Bob will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Road, Augusta. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 PM on Monday tomorrow at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Avenue. A gathering to celebrate Bob's life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
