Passed away Sunday evening, November 26, 2017. Phillip was born September 2, 1952 in Haleyville, AL, the son of the late John and Evie Dooley. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed for over 30 years with Pepsi Cola as a bulk driver. Phillip was an avid Alabama football fan and ROLL TIDE was his cry. He also enjoyed baseball and spending time with his family and friends. On September 19, 1969 he was united in marriage to his loving wife of 48 years, Carolyn (Lott), who survives. Also surviving are his children, Phillip Dooley, Jr, Karen Dooley, Carmen Thornton, Rodney (Kerri) Dooley; 11 grandchildren, Shelby (Josh), Courtney (Ryan), Garrick (Kate), Alyssa, Alexus, Brennan, Alexis, Savanah, Braiden, Gracie and Braylon; 5 great-grandchildren, Corrick, Kaydin, Sydnee, Sawyer, and Raelynn; a brother F.D. (Sharon) Dooley; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may meet the family from 11:30-12:30 pm, Thursday, November 30 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick where services will begin at 12:30 pm. Interment will follow in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Jim Gilmore Center, West Michigan Cancer Center, or the charity of your choice. "If you want to walk the heavenly streets of gold, you gotta know the password, Roll, Tide, Roll!!"- Bear Bryant.
