Seckman, Patricia A.
of Portage, Michigan Passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Age 80. Patricia was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on July 10, 1933, the daughter of the late Ira Arnett and Leola Rachel Smith Jolliffe. She was married to Clarence E. Seckman on October 22, 1955. A lifelong United Methodist, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, cooking, spending winters at their beach condo in Florida and was an avid Detroit Tiger fan. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Clarence E. Seckman; children, Kimberly Roger Stamper of Portage, Cheryl Peter Howard Seckman of Orlando, FL, Valerie Scott Farman of Jacksonville, FL and Beth Richard Rowand of Ocoee, FL; grandchildren, Brian Elena, Christine and Jennifer; sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Jolliffe and Yvonne Ritter; nieces and nephews, Connie, Wilford, Dale and Terrie. She was preceded in death by her brother, David Jolliffe; a brother-in-law, Ed Ritter; a sister-in-law, Violet Bill Beamer; and a nephew, Mark Ritter. Friends may visit with the family from 12 p.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Avenue, Portage, MI 49024, where the funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Rev. Scott Farman will officiate with interment in Portage South Cemetery.
