Billington, Oral James Fulton, MI
Passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2015. Age 94. Oral was born in Gideon, MO on November 18, 1920, the son of the late Mosel W. Billington and Lucy Shipman Billington. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was employed by James River Corporation for 36 years and Spectrum Health for 13 years. Oral is survived by his loving wife, Frances E. Hodges Billington; two children, Oral James Billington, Jr. of Green Bay, WI and Patience Dean Pike of Fulton, MI; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Harry Mary Billington. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mosel and Lucy Shipman Billington; his step-mother, Teva Stone Billington; one grandson; one brother, Arles Billington; his twin brother, Doyle Billington; and two sisters, Mavis McDaniels and Teva Billington. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo, MI 49007. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at the Chapman Memorial Church of the Nazarene, 7520 East U Avenue, Vicksburg, MI 49097. Pastor Dave Downs will officiate with interment in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, South. Memorial contributions may be given to Nazarene Compassionate Ministries or Kalamazoo Gospel Mission.
