Passed away Saturday evening August 1, 2015. Naomi was born June 20, 1925 in Idalia, Colorado to Howard and Jenny (Nelson) Fox. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with the Upjohn Company for 25 years as a med tech. Naomi loved to learn about the world and find adventure in life. She was always surrounded by books, and she took many trips all across the globe with close friends. She was also an active member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), serving as Sunday school teacher and choir member, along with taking an active role in many other church committees and events. Naomi was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Nelson and Weldon Fox, and an infant sister, Alwanda Fox. Naomi is survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Naomi very much loved all her nieces and nephews, was very interested and active in their lives, and even became the "mother figure" to many of those children due to life events. Per Naomi's wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no visitation. Friends and family are invited to attend the graveside services held on Friday, August 14 at 3:00pm in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery, South Westnedge Avenue. Memorials may be directed to the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
