Millicent Elaine Kotrba

KOTRBA, Millicent Elaine Millicent Elaine was born May 29, 1921, in Yuma, Michigan, the daughter of the late Wesley and Lucy Miller Ballett and passed away January 4, 2011, in Midlothian, Texas. On October 30, 1943, she was united in marriage to William John Kotrba. She was a longtime Cooper Township resident and for several years had worked as a nurse's aide. Millicent relocated to Midlothian, Texas, following the death of her husband, William in 2006. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy, Nadine and Barbara. She was a longtime member of the Kalamazoo Seventh-Day Adventist Church and a faithful servant of her church's Community Service Center. Millicent was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Caring for her family was what she truly valued. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Surviving are her four children, Carol Larry Knott of Midlothian, TX, Leonard Patricia Kotrba of Plainwell, MI, Dennis Kotrba of Petoskey, MI, Pamela John Priest of Midlothian, TX; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Janice Roy Moyle; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM on Monday, January 10th at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street where a service to celebrate Millicent's life will be held 11:00 AM Monday with Pastor Daniel Ferraz officiating. Interment will be held in East Cooper Cemetery. Memorials in Millicent's memory may be directed to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church's Community Service Center.
