BROWN, Mrs. Mildred R.
Vicksburg, MI Died Thursday evening July 15, 2010 in Byron Center, Michigan. Mildred was born July 29, 1919 in Moore Park, Michigan a daughter of Vern and Zola Grush-Hayes Romig. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident for many years and was employed as a beautician for 28 years and later worked at Prentis Laboratories before retiring. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Clarabell Romig; 3 brothers, Robert, Merle, and Arthur Romig; a sister-in-law, Doreen Romig; and 2 brothers-in-law, Henry Sparling and Carl Fahndrich. She is survived by 2 children, Sharon Hesher-Wilson of Grand Rapids and David Nancy Brown of Vicksburg; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Ruth Larry Weesner of South Bend, IN, Betty Sparling of Flint, and Barb Fahndrich; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11 o'clock Tuesday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Faith Hospice Trillium Center.
