Maureen N. (Nolan) Peacock

July 21, 1932 — June 3, 2020

Age 87, passed away Wednesday June 3, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Maureen was born in Chicago, IL on July 21, 1932, the daughter of Robert and Lucille (Curran) Nolan. She was united in marriage to Harold "Hal" Peacock on August 5, 1961 and they were happily married for 58 years until Hal's death in 2018. She was a registered nurse and was very proud of her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and loved staying active in the nursing community. She was strong in her faith, which gave her purpose and direction, and she was always active in her church. Maureen loved family, community and Detroit sports. Maureen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother; Robert Nolan. She is survived by her children; Catherine (Mark) Kaufman of South Haven, MI, Elizabeth (Ed) Fish of Arlington, VA, Jennifer (John) Leck of New Market, MD, and Chris (Marianne) Peacock of Chesterfield, MO. She is also survived by grandchildren; Brett Kaufman, Allie (Peter) Rogerson, Patrick, Owen, Liam and Quinn Fish, Nolan (Samantha) Leck, Cullen Leck, and Grace and Will Peacock, brother; Nicholas Nolan of Grand Rapids, brother in law; Gordon Peacock of Murray Hill, NJ and many nieces and nephews. Private family services will be held and interment will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Bickford Cottage for their loving care and support. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan 222 N. Kalamazoo Mall #100 Kalamazoo, MI 49007.
