McVAY, Matthew R.
Of Portage Passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011. Matt was born March 18, 1967, in Kalamazoo and was the son of Philip and Margy Gleesing McVay. He was a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and everyone who knew Matt loved him. In 1991, Matt was united in marriage to the former Susan N. Bay McVay. Surviving are his wife, Susan; his children, Aaron McVay, Reed McVay and Stephanie McVay; his parents, Phil and Margy McVay; his sister, Shannon McVay Frost and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 30th from 6-8pm and Wednesday from 1-2pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. where a service to celebrate Matt?s life will be held beginning at 2:00pm Wednesday. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
