Mary Jane (Rodgers) Swynenberg

Died Monday evening March 11, 2019 in Three Rivers, Michigan. Mary was born April 3, 1934 in Watseka, Illinois a daughter of Floyd and Elsie (Chambers) Rodgers. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life and was employed with the Gibson Guitar Company for 19 years. Mary was also a member of Texas Corners Bible Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Everett B. Swynenberg on October 12, 2017; a grandson, Bryan Joseph Bigham; a son-in-law, Burl Davidson, Jr.; a brother, Edwin Rodgers; and a sister, Bertha Curtis. She is survived by her 3 children, Gary (Brenda) Swynenberg of Mattawan; Kathleen Davidson of Kalamazoo, and Bryon (Patti) Swynenberg of Three Rivers; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mayme Munn of Mattawan; and several nieces, nephews, and a cousin. A memorial service will be held 11 o'clock Saturday, March 30th from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Private burial will take place in Ft. Custer National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or to the Alzheimer's Association.
