MATRAU, Mrs. Martha J.
Portage, MI Died Sunday morning March 9, 2014. Martha was born October 20, 1930 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Charles and Agnes Clark Worden-Brooks. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was a member of Covey Hill Baptist Church. Martha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Benjamin F. Matrau on August 8, 1983; 4 brothers; and a sister. She is survived by 2 children, Lacinda "Cindy" Jeff Hess and Joe McNally III all of Kalamazoo; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a special friend, Harold Vincent of Kalamazoo; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11 o'clock Wednesday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St. Visitation will be 6-8pm Tuesday at the chapel. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to West Michigan Cancer Center or the Alzheimer's Assocation.
