Mark David Lueck

Mark David Lueck passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 11, 2015 in Kalamazoo. He was born July 25, 1948 in Elgin, IL., the son of the late Elmer and Wilma Schlie Lueck and had been a resident of the Kalamazoo area for over 42 years. He was a graduate of DeVry University, Chicago, IL. He was employed by Borgess Medical Center as a Radiology Engineer for 31 years. On December 14th, 1974 he married Carol Johnston, who survives. Mark is survived by their son and daughter-in-law, Michael Kristi Lueck of Kalamazoo, MI; their grandchildren, Kristopher, age 15, Andrew, age 14, Rebekah, age 13, Maarja, age 8 and Aleksander, age 6; brothers and sisters, Paul Janet Lueck of Elgin, IL, James PeterChristine Lueck of Oak Park, IL, Chris Tim Davis of Elgin, IL, Carla Heinz of Elgin, IL, Joel Lisha Lueck of Holly Springs, NC and Daniel Jessica Lueck of Bolingbrook, IL; many nieces and nephews. He is remembered as a faithful, tenderhearted, godly man, who had a desire to do what was right, love and serve his family, and for his love for the Lord Jesus Christ, his Savior. He was "Grandpa" to his grandchildren whom he adored. He loved to spend time with his family and friends, and just enjoy the daily simple pleasures of life. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 10:30 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church, 2122 Bronson Blvd., Kalamazoo. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Kalamazoo. A visitation will take place on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015 from 6-8 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. 343-1508.
